About The CFO HQ

As part of our expansion, we are building a bench network of elite recruitment professionals to support both internal hiring needs and client talent solutions across finance, transformation, and specialist advisory functions.
Role Overview
We are seeking highly experienced and commercially driven Senior Recruitment Consultants to join our freelance bench network. You will support talent acquisition across CFO, finance, and transformation roles, working on retained, contingent, and project-based hiring mandates.
This is a flexible, freelance opportunity suited to consultants with a strong track record in delivering senior-level placements and building trusted client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end recruitment across finance and transformation roles (e.g., CFO, Finance Director, Financial Controller, Project/Transformation leads)
- Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to understand hiring needs and define role requirements
- Source, assess, and shortlist high-calibre candidates using a variety of channels (LinkedIn, networks, referrals, direct outreach)
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including briefing, screening, interview coordination, and offer negotiation
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for both immediate and future hiring needs
- Provide market insights on salary benchmarking, talent availability, and hiring trends
- Support employer branding and candidate engagement initiatives
- Ensure a high-quality candidate and client experience throughout the process
- Collaborate with The CFO HQ team on strategic hiring initiatives and growth projects
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Recruitment Consultant, Talent Partner, or Headhunter
- Strong track record of placing senior finance professionals (CFO, FD, FC level) or specialist roles
- Experience working within professional services, finance recruitment, or executive search environments
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage client relationships independently
- Excellent sourcing, interviewing, and negotiation skills
- Established professional network within finance and/or transformation talent markets
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
- Familiarity with recruitment tools and platforms (LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS systems, CRM tools)
